Privacy and cookies
What this site collects, when and why. In short: I only use Google Analytics, and only after you accept.
Who looks after the data
This is a personal website. The data controller is Gustavo Henrique Karsten, Santa Catarina, Brazil. For any request about your data, email [email protected].
What is collected, and only if you accept
If you accept the cookie notice, the site loads Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 so I can see what gets read and what leads to contact. It records:
- pages opened, projects and articles read, and how far you scrolled an article;
- clicks on contact links (WhatsApp, email, LinkedIn, GitHub), on project links and on the home page buttons;
- language or theme changes, the projects filter and downloads of the technical profile;
- technical data Google Analytics collects by default: approximate country and city, language, device type, browser and where you came from (search, LinkedIn, a direct link).
I do not collect your name, email, phone or anything you type. The site has no forms. Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address. Advertising signals are always off: none of this is used for ads.
Without your consent none of this loads and no browsing data leaves your browser.

Google Analytics keeps event data for 14 months.
Who else processes data
- Google (Tag Manager and Analytics), only with consent, under Google's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and receives technical data from each request (such as the IP address) to serve the pages and block attacks, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Links to WhatsApp, LinkedIn and GitHub lead to services with their own policies.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookies button in the footer of any page, or the button below. If you decline after accepting, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted and Analytics stops loading.
Your rights
Under Brazil's LGPD (art. 18), and laws like the GDPR, you can ask for confirmation, access, correction, anonymization or deletion of your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Analytics does not show me who is who, so email me at the address above and I will explain what can be done in your case.
